 2007 recapthis time of the year has come again. the time where many despair at the numbers of resolutions they manage to achieve for the past year while adding new ones to the list for the upcoming year. i used to be among them but i have quit this habit a few years back.2007 has been a pleasant year for me. more or less i had a very enjoyable year with my family and all my friends (of course including boyfriend). everything has been pretty smooth sailing though only until recently some things started going wrong. for example my Christmas pictures that i was promised never came. but life goes on... . . . . . . . . . . shag out...i am super tired from work today. i informed the supervisor too late that i can only work until this Sunday. so the compromise was i have to work on new year's eve. that's my karma for laughing at Shuxuan when she told me she has to work on new year's eve. at least she finishes work earlier. now i have to turn down invites for new year eve. sucks...been too tired of late to update anything. but so far i have attended a somewhat distant cousin's wedding, watched a movie at Vivocity, toured the Christmas lightings at Orchard... will update when i stop working. i haven't done my new year reflection too! in the mean time, Dumbo kena food poisoning but I'm meeting Shuxuan tomorrow. oh i almost forgot!! happy belated Christmas (although they say 12 days of Christmas but Singaporeans are only entitled to 1 day). and merry new year!!! last nightI was surfing Flickr's interestingness calendar last night when I came across a very nice photo. So I went on to the author's weblog and saw a lot of beautiful things. She inputs her own style into whatever she makes and everything turns out nice and pretty. I am really impressed by her works. Her attitude towards decorating motivates me to start doing something too. But I don't know what yet.From her blog. I got linked to another weblog called allsorts where I found a few things to play with. There were virtual gingerbread house, softie doll and a list of other things that I can decorate. However AhMing's friend Heni asked a Math question so I helped her while my stupid brother had a go at my new discovery.  This was what he decorated and he thinks that he has a talent in design.  I found another version of the doll and did up a Xmas version which I think is better. Basically last night, I was roaming the world wide web unable (unwilling?) to sleep. It was better than the night before when I tossed and turned only to fall asleep at dawn and had a nightmare. All things' ain't bright and beautiful yet. It left a puncture. puffy eyes and airplanesDespite my plans for today... i ended up flying Shuxuan and Pamela airplanes.After work yesterday I bought supper and went over to ZJ house instead of going straight home. The outcome of this decision was puffy eyes for today. Which was why I didn't dare to step out of the door. Really bad decision. However "all things' bright and beautiful" now. Sorry Xuan and Pam. what ive been up toI'm going Changi airport with Shuxuan tomorrow for their free touring of the new terminal 3. hope there won't be too many people and all.after that I'll be going to SMU to help Pamela with the push cart. she's selling her stuffs there for 3 days since yesterday till tomorrow. today i can't help her because i've shift later from 3 -10. night shifts aren't as good as early shifts. but you get to sleep in. yesterday went mama house to see Tesia with ZJ. and we were very lucky because Marshya and Haikal came at night to stay over. so we got to see all 3 of them which is a rare chance. too bad i didn't take photos. all 3 of them were so cute. although it gets a bit difficult when all 3 start to get rowdy and keep screaming. but they were cute. tesia's at the stage of mimicking people and marshya is learning how to play already. while haikal is just nice of age to be tricked by zj's so called magic. the night before met up with hui, kel and mel. been some time since all of us got together. although can tell mel n me closer while kel n hui closer now. no longer like all 4 of us talking all the time. some time were split into mel and me talking maple and kel and hui talking something else. we should really get out together more. ^^ Labels: dumbo, home, tomodachi Comments: 0 |

2nd day at work onlyworking is demeaning to the brain... constantly faced shelves of bottoms for the whole of today. sorting them nicely wasn't such a nice job. it was brainless and mundane. >_< worked 6.5 hours straight today but it felt like 100. my legs were aching from standing so long yesterday. on top of that I've still got burst blisters on my feet.got to know this guy today. he is ultimate slacker. he was asked to join me shortly after i started on the leggings and long pants. i briefed him how to go about doing then suggested we split the job. end up he just stack up whatever i pass to him and put back onto the shelf without sorting them according to sizes. and keep messaging on his phone. i learnt a new trick from him - how to skive at work aka EAT SNAKE!!! wahahaha. i started counting down to the time we knock off work. we had already more or less clear the long pants shelf then. so he say can just sit there talk cock waste some time. then i really just sit there and use scotch tape to clear all the dusts and threads from my pants. shouldn't try so often though. first day at workI finally started work today!!! Will have my first pay check in a long time when they pay me.ZJ was super nice today. He gave the ManU vs. Fulham match at 4am to accompany me for breakfast and travel with me to orchard. Thus the day for my first day at work started great. Then Huiqi Huiyu and me had to go through the procedures and all before we finally can start work, but working time was clocked still. Got to know a handful new people also working ad-hoc together with us. I guess it's part of everything new. To get to know someone new. Huiqi and me wore new shoes to work and ended up having plasters on our feet. Lucky I expected such a situation and bought a packet of plasters to bring to work. ^^v After work met up with AhTing to find a champagne color dress for WeiQin's wedding this Sunday. They agreed on this color dress for all her sisters. A color which I must say is horribly difficult to find for a dress in this season (and maybe others too). We had to roam Isetan Scotts, Far East, then a little of Wisma and then AMK Hub to find one not that fancy one. Not looking forward to tomorrow (shift from 3 to 10 >_<), but Thursday to come. pre-semester worryAfter getting to enjoy ONLY a few days of freedom... now I have to start worrying about next semester's timetable. Planning our own timetable has got to be the most troublesome and brain damaging task one has to ever do. For my next semester's core modules, I have 2 morning lesson: 1 lab and 1 lecture. I'll be most likely to skip the latter if I still can't get hall.Furthermore my internet connection has not been very helpful. It was very unstable just now. I had to refresh stars planner thousands over times and the page still refuse to load, until I was willing to restart the router. Just came back from chalet (with 2 tickets to theme park unused) and then tonight still got to go potluck with ZJ and his classmates. (>-<) Shuxuan is starting work today. Hope she’s doing fine.
