welcome 2008

i realized it's been 9 days of 2008 and i haven't blogged anything about the start of this brand new year yet.

on new year's eve i ended up meeting up with Mel and ZJ after work. we went down to marina bay to watch the fireworks. the telecoms networks got jammed up very early so i couldn't reply shuxuan and wish her happy new year in time. on top of that we could not locate the rest of the gang. so it was the 3 of us enjoying the fireworks to welcome the new year. after that when the network unjammed, we met up with Ben, Deyang, JW and his wife and sister at Raffles Hotel. JW and family had to leave when we were near Bugis, leaving the 5 of us for supper. i enjoyed myself. (=

Ben had 2 very dirty jokes he had to share with us:
十个女人 --- 猜一个东北线的地铁车站。
10 man --- Guess a mrt station along East-West line.

ZJ's father fell down last Friday breaking 4 rib bones. he was at my place when his father's manager called. the both of us rushed down together. i could tell his father was really in pain and it really frightens me because he's already 60+ and usually this kind of things will have repercussions... just hope he will recover quickly.

mummy confronted dad too. things aren't exactly pretty at the moment but they aren't nasty too. i pretty much ignore him when he's at home nowadays. thank you Mel for listening to me (or reading?) yesterday!!! there was a period of time after my mummy made her decision when i was very afraid i will end up like her in future. guess the insecurity was there to begin with even though it was getting lesser before this whole incident. just got to make the most of everything now.
